Being that I went to college in New York for four years, I have few adventures in my hometown of Philadelphia. This past week, my mom, a long-time Philadelphian, took my siblings and me to Rittenhouse Square to try out a Stephen Starr restaurant called Parc. After a quick search, I found that Stephen Starr is quite the established restauranteur with notable restaurants in Philadelphia and New York.
Parc was modeled after French cafés and from the sidewalk seating to the smooth jazz, it’s possible to feel like you’ve traveled to the City of Lights for lunch. Before our meal, I read some hype on Yelp about the bread basket that I must admit is well deserved. I also got to try escargot for the first time and could not stop raving about it for the rest of the day. The open windows allow for a perfect view of Rittenhouse Square and we were even able to stop by La Colombe (their location in New York is one of my favorites!) for some post-lunch lattes. Hopefully, I will be able to explore more restaurants in Philly!
