2015 is 1/6th over! And the start of March means the start of my birthday month! So far, my year has been going better than expected and I hope to continue this streak with organized goal progress tracking and a positive mindset. Here are some new and old things I loved in February!
If you haven’t noticed from my Instagram (P.S. I got a new one so follow me!), I am obsessed with all things planner or stationery related. I downsized from my A5 Kikki K (that I still love!) and went for a clean and classic looking Filofax Black Domino in the personal size and I could not be happier. To go along with my new sleek planner, I purchased some beautiful coppery dividers from Amour For Your Planner on Etsy and absolutely love them. They are super sturdy and shiny and even came with a flyleaf with extra sticky notes and a matching wash card. And, of course, I cannot resist cute stationery…
As for beauty, I’ve been loving anything that keeps my skin (and hair) feeling clean and moisturized. I apply the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil after I wash my hair and it’s great for keeping my locks smooth and shiny. I also got my hands on the Thayers Rose Petal Toner (which was on my beauty wishlist) which I apply with a cotton pad after I wash my face. It feels super nice and refreshing and the rose smell is pleasant and not overbearing. A new polish that I tried and loved was the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Lively Lilac. The brush is so easy to use because of its shape and it really does dry super quickly. It doesn’t chip as quickly as other polishes do too! And at about five dollars per polish, I’m definitely planning on getting some more.
Hanging on Katy Perry (also a favorite…remember her Superbowl Halftime show?!) is my simple and delicate Valentine’s Day present from my boyfriend. As much as I love a big statement necklace, I think simplicity creates a different but just as significant effect and this pretty rose gold bar necklace perfectly completes any look. Besides my planner/stationery addiction, I also love collecting pretty and cute mugs. This donut one from Target was about two dollars and was too perfect to leave behind!
I’ve also been working hard at being up-to-date for my readings for class as well as my goal to read 30 new books this year. I got a new pretty pink case for my Kindle which makes it a lot easier for me to take everywhere and whip out whenever I have a free moment. I’m still trying to finish This Side of Paradise, but I’m definitely open for some fun reading suggestions!
