January is always an exciting month for me because I like the feeling of a fresh start of a new month, but especially of a new year. Admittedly, my resolutions have not gained much traction lately, but I still haven’t forgotten them and I am still determined to be someone I’m proud of. After getting my new planner this month, I stocked up on some planner supplies like a paper trimmer (super helpful for someone who can’t cut straight lines like me) and the corner rounder which is nice for creating decorative journaling cards or even just for an extra special touch. I also got these pretty gel pens because I thought the design of these pens were super cute, but I was glad to find out that they also write surprisingly well.
The pen set comes in a plastic case for easy travel and have their colors written on them. I like keeping them in my gold monogrammed mug because they are too cute and must be displayed.
As for beauty, I’ve gone back to using my Versace Bright Crystal perfume–one of my staples. Also, a surprising love of this month was the L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara. I honestly picked this up because the packaging caught my eye, but it gives me super long lashes and rarely smudges. I don’t see that much volume personally, but the lengthening factor is amazing. An addition to my skincare routine is this Vitamin C Serum. I’ve noticed that after I started using once a day, my skin looks so luminous and soft.
WHAT I’VE BEEN READING:
I love anything French-related so these books for francophiles gave me some inspiration for my next book.
My hair is in the awkward growing-out stage, so this tutorial of how to style a lob, or long bob, was super helpful.
One of my 2015 goals is to try a capsule wardrobe and this wardrobe planner from Unfancy actually helped me so much not only to create my first capsule, but also to define my style.
