We are just about to round out half of the year and this is still unbelievable to me. Unlike most months, however, May seemed to laze by for me. The weather started brightening up and getting warmer and I started to get back into my routines. Here are some beauty and stationery goods that I have been loving this month.
BH Cosmetics It’s Judy Time Limited Edition Palette
Unfortunately, this eyeshadow palette is unavailable now, but I got it towards the beginning of May because I loved the rich purple and blue shades and, of course, because I am a huge fan of Judy! The top shades are all matte and the bottom shades have subtle shimmer making this the perfect palette to cover day to night.
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation, $12
I’ve had this product before and repurchased it recently after running out of my current tinted moisturizer and I fell back in love with it. I alway get compliments on my skin when I’m wearing it! It does have that foundation feel when you first put it on, but once it sets, it looks beautiful and you don’t notice it. This is probably my favorite drugstore foundation.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, $26
What I have is the sample version that came in my Sephora birthday reward, but I can still sing of its praises. I’ve been reaching for this lipstick over others because it’s so creamy and easy to use and the perfect neutral color. Plus, I think it makes the child in me happy to be playing with crayons again.
Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum, $20
I’m not sure what is going on, but lately my skin has been amazing. It’s been smooth and clear-looking and not even oily and I think I owe it all to this serum. I mentioned this a few months ago shortly after I got it, but after using it consistently now, I really do think that it helps to make your skin look perfect. I’ve noticed that it has gradually been clearing my acne scars and just making my face feel brand new.
False Eyelashes, $4
I am such a newbie with falsies, but with the little practice I’ve had this month, I am feeling a lot more comfortable with them. Since my eyes are smaller and don’t have a defined crease, wearing lashes widens them and gives more definition to my eyelid, something I never knew would make that much of a difference.
There’s something about stationery and paper crafts that just make me feel so creative and relaxed. I post a lot of pictures of my planner on Instagram, but I’m also dabbling in making homemade cards and other little things for fun.
“Don’t Forget” Notepad, $4
If you love stationery, you have to check out your nearest T.J. Maxx. I got this little notepad from there a few weeks ago and I am in love. The whimsical design is super pretty and since I usually like bullets when I’m making a list, it is super functional.
Studio L2E Brush Dates Set, $15
I have been obsessed with stamping lately! This set is so useful when I’m making my own inserts or doing some journaling. If you’re thinking about trying it out, remember to get an acrylic block for the stamps to cling to! The little wooden “hello” stamp was a cute find from a local stationery store and I love stamping it onto cards or letters that I send out.
Rifle Paper Co. x LeSportsac Cosmetic Bag, $25
It was a toss-up whether to include this adorable bag in my beauty favorites or my stationery favorites, but since I am leaning towards using this for pens and pencils in my purse, stationery it is. Rifle Paper Co. is the Beyonce of pretty stationery (in my humble opinion) and I had to get one of these items that would last me forever. They have other super cute bag designs, but since I have been favoring orange recently, I chose this pretty floral one.
Let me know your beauty, stationery or other favorites of the month!
