I absolutely love this time of year, however, I think a lot of people can agree that it goes by too quickly! With preparations for dinners, gifts and travel, it can be easy to get overwhelmed with the season and treat it more like a task than a celebration, which is why I love the idea of quick, daily documenting. Last year, I loved using my Erin Condren Life Planner for memory keeping which turned out to be a great way to remember all of my fun holiday activities. I used the monthly spread (pictured above) to jot a short happy moment or feeling for each day and the weekly spread was where I went more into detail of what happened.

Second week of December 2015 using a kit by PlanningMadePerfect on Etsy (still available this year and here is a Plan With Me video of this spread from last year!)
Third week of December 2015 using a kit by GlamPlanner on Etsy (she brought back this kit this year, but not sure if she will again!)
Christmas week of December 2015 using a kit by TheStickyStation on Etsy (very similar styles are up in her shop this year!)
I haven’t been memory planning/keeping in my ECLP these days and have been preferring semi-scrapbooking in my traveler’s notebook instead. I love that I can add more photos and memorabilia to my journal pages as well as using pretty stickers and washi tapes. I do have some pages in my notebook dedicated to Christmas 2015, but I added those in just a few months ago and wish I could have done more to remember what I did during my favorite season and holiday.
So what am I planning on doing this year? My traveler’s notebook acts as my ongoing scrapbook/photo album for the entire year, so bits of my Christmas day will definitely end up in here like last year.
I am toying around with the idea of creating a December Daily album (more info on that project created by Ali Edwards here) but in my Happy Planner because I love the disc-bound system and think that the space will really allow me to include a lot of pictures and be more creative. I haven’t set up the book yet, but I have picked up some gorgeous Christmas-themed scrapbook paper and journal card set to get going! I also love that if I use my Happy Planner discs for daily December documenting, I can just continue to add to the same book each year. Will keep you updated on my Instagram account on what I end up doing!
How do you document the holidays each year? In a planner, scrapbook or album? I would love to know!
